The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
